One of the best ways to upgrade your vehicle’s brakes is by upgrading to disc brakes. A 14 bolt dually disc brake conversion kit can make this possible.
These kits include all the parts necessary to install disc brakes on your C&C (cab and chassis) or DRW (dual rear wheel axle). Not only do these kits save a ton of weight on your front end, but installation is incredibly simple too!

Our award-winning 14 bolt dually disc brake conversion brackets have been engineered with precision to deliver superior braking performance when used with larger wheels and tires. Made of heavy-duty 3/8″ thick mild steel, the brackets offer a strong and corrosion-resistant connection. Featuring premium caliper mounts, an elite rotor, as well as grade 8 hardware – you won’t find a better product!
The great news is that you can reuse your factory metal hard brake lines to connect the new calipers and rotors to brake boosters, saving both money and time during installation.
To maximize your efficiency and save money on brackets, it’s important to select the model that best meets your needs. Our 14 bolt dually SRW (single rear wheel) DRW (dual rear wheel) MB4022 Disc Brake Conversion bracket is an ideal option for large trucks weighing 3500+ pounds.
Calipers
The 14 bolt dually disc brake conversion uses calipers from the same line as those for 4wd trucks and is available in either standard or heavy duty versions. The heavier duty version features a larger piston and metric brake line fitting.
The standard version features a 2-15/16″ piston that fits over an existing rotor and bolts up to the same brackets. Calipers for heavier duty applications use larger 3-5/32″ pistons and are metric brake line fitters.
These brackets are specially curved to allow them to be placed over the rotor flange without needing grinding and welding the factory drum-brake backing plate brackets in place. This enables the caliper to be set at its proper height over the rotor and spaced laterally on the axle housing.

Lines
The 14 bolt dually disc brake conversion is an ideal way to improve braking performance for your Chevy or General Motors full-size truck. Drum brakes trap heat inside their calipers, decreasing their stopping power; on the other hand, discs shed that heat and increase their holding power.
ORD’s brake kit contains all of the parts to convert from drum brakes to disc brakes without having to grind and weld. It’s an economical way to add greater braking power to your vehicle.
This bracket is designed to fit a CNC 14 bolt SRW rear axle housing, such as those found on some ’73-’87 single rear wheel (SRW) trucks. It features an offset bend to ensure proper lateral spacing and placement of the rotor at its correct height above it – similar to stock drum-brake backing plate brackets.
This bracket is ideal for those who don’t want to grind and weld, as it automatically positions the caliper at the correct height over the rotor and secures it on the axle.

Brakes
Brakes are an integral component of any 4×4 conversion. They give you control while driving and help to reduce accidents.
Drum brake systems are heavy and can become worn out over time if used regularly. Furthermore, they may rust if water gets inside them.
One of the best ways to reduce rotor and pad replacement expenses is to switch from drum brakes to disc brakes. Although they tend to be pricier than drums, you can save a considerable amount of money by using them instead.
Offroad enthusiasts often opt for a 14 bolt C&C axle/dually, which was widely used in GM 3/4 and 1 ton trucks and vans until around 2000.
